Graduation Requirements

To be eligible for graduation, each candidate must complete the required courses, seminars, and clinical conferences and demonstrate competency in the understanding of the theory and practice of psychoanalysis. There must be a minimum of 150 hours of supervision covering three acceptable clinical cases. All cases must be at least in the middle phase of analysis with at least one in the termination phase. The candidate must be considered competent to conduct an analysis without supervision. All written reports must be current.

On occasion, a candidate may be approved for graduation despite not having set a termination date for at least one of the three cases. The candidate must meet all of the other requirements for graduation. The supervisors must agree that one of the cases will go on to termination.
